Peach Liqueur

1 1/2 lb peaches; peeled & sliced
1 1/2 c Sugar
4 lemon peel; strips
3 Whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 c Bourbon


Use fresh peaches for this recipe. 
In a pot, thoroughly combine all ingredients. 
Heat 10 minutes on Medium-High until sugar is dissolved, stirring once. 
Continue simmering an additional 30 minutes, stirring twice. 
Cover and let stand 3 to 4 days. Strain before using. 
Yield: 2 cups.
